I was going to start writing this from a third person perspective as typically seen on most websites. But then I thought to myself… what is up with that anyway???
Photography is what I do, photography is what I am, photography is WHO I am! I can’t seem to leave the house without looking at everything I see and wonder what it would look like from the other side of my lens. But it’s not JUST the basic concept of, ‘photography’ that fascinates me. It’s the free and endless world of fairy tale and fantasy (so to speak) that it allows me create and become a part of. I am a Birmingham wedding photographer first and foremost, but give me people and a setting, and I will work with you to create a masterpiece.
Wedding photography is what I specialise in. Some don’t like the pressure but it is where I thrive. Being a Birmingham based Photographer has by no means thawed my business reach. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing and inspirational photographers and models alike from all over. One thing I have learnt is that in the absence of a camera, these people, (well, most of them) are completely normal and everyday characters. But when the camera starts snapping, something else comes alive.
A creative ‘x factor’ if you like, that enables some of the best photography to be born starts to manifest. I’ve come to realise that this phenomenon is nothing at all mystical. Simply put, photography on a whole is a an extension of a models/photographers character and personality. An extension that could well never have been seen in most other normal walks of daily life. The resulting final images created, is the by-product. A pretty satisfying by product!
From the very first stage, where that shutter closes, to the very end when the final touches of colour are adjusted… each and every photograph I take has embarked on a journey of creation and bloom to become something alive where quite literally, there was once nothing.
Just as an artist would paint their canvas, or a musician composes a symphony – so I will create my own works of art through digital imagery. My wish now, is to share my pieces of art with the world… but more specifically, with you.
